Larry D. Adams, 63, Pottsville, died June 11, 2007, at 12:30 p.m. in the Lebanon VA Medical Center, where he had been a patient since February. His wife, Sheila M . (Machemer) Adams, died Aug. 24, 1996. Born in Centerport, he was a son of the late Oscar W. and Ella M. (Potteiger) Adams. He worked for five years in receiving at Lowe’s in Pottsville until his retirement. He was a 1962 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are three sons: Ashley D., Daniel N. and Bradley D. Adams, all of Pottsville.
Other survivors include two brothers, Quentin W. Adams, Shoemakersville, and Richard L. Adams, Tilden Township; and three sisters: Arlene V. (Adams), wife of William Heffner, Shoemakersville; Audrey L. (Adams), wife of Michael Schorr, Surfside Beach, S.C.; and Sharon A. (Adams), wife of John Endes, Wilton, Wis.
There are also two granddaughters, Chasity and Emily Adams.
Graveside services will be private in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Tilden Township. Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.
