Ruth G. Schroeder, 80, Lenhartsville, died Nov. 2, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
She was the widow of Warren M. Schroeder, who died Sept. 13, 2007.
Born July 21, 1927, in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Walter L. and Helen R. (Dietrich) Baker.
She was employed as a secretary at Kutztown University for 12 years, retiring in 1991.
Ruth was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Grimville. She was president of the Senior Friends at Mount Zion Lutheran Church.
She was on the State Republican Committee.
She was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company Auxiliary and Pikeville Sportsman?s Club.
She was a 1944 graduate of Kutztown High School.
She is survived by a son, Donald W., and his wife, Frances (Notobartolo) Schroeder, Reading.
Other survivors include a sister, Betty M., wife of Randall Schroeder, Kutztown.
There also are nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Mark G., husband of Grace E. (Kramer) Baker, Allentown.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. Burial will be private. Visitation with the family will be Friday 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the church or to the charity of one?s choice.
