  [S201] Miscellaneous Newspapers, 12 Aug 1940. Manchester, Aug 12 -- John R Fink, near here, died at 3:50 pm today at the York hospital where he had been a patient for a month. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. He was 52 years old. Mr Fink was born at Pleasant Grove, a son of the late George W and Lucretia Jenkins Fink. He had been a resident of Conewago township, near here, for the past 30 years. He was employed at the Southern Kraft corporation, York Haven, as an acid maker in the sulphite mill for 34 years. Mr Fink was a member of the Red Men's lodge, York Haven, and the Employes' Mutual Benefit association of the mill. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Minnie Fink; eight children, Mrs C Marie Smith, York Haven; Bernard H, Manchester, RD1; George W, Cly; Robert W, Manchester RD 1; Wayne S, York; Ernest W, Manchester RD 1; and Romaine and Reba, at home; six grandchildren, a brother and two sisters, George Fink and Mrs John Wolf, Pleasant Grove, and Mrs William Repman, York. The funeral will be held Thursday with brief services from the home at 1:30 (DST) and further services in the Pleasant Grove United Brethren church at 2:15 o'clock. Rev Ward W Smith, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Funeral Directors A Ziegler's Sons, this place are in charge of arrangements.
