Thomas H. Laundra, 76, Reading, died Feb. 6, 2008, in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading.
He was the husband of Catherine K. (Knappenberger) Laundra, Reading.
Born in Saginaw, Mich., on Nov. 17, 1931, he was a son of the late Harold T. and Alma C. (Schrems) Laundra.
He earned his apprenticeship and worked for 46 years as a patternmaker in Michigan and Pennsylvania, retiring from Haines Pattern, Lebanon, in 1996. After his retirement, he was a substitute teacher for the BCIU for three years.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in 1949 and earned an associates degree in education from Muskegon (Mich.) Community College.
He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, where he served as a choir and church council member. He also was a member of the Pretzel City Barbershoppers Chorus, Reading
Thomas also is survived by a son, Christopher, husband of Elizabeth Laundra, Greenville, S.C.; and a daughter, Stephanie, wife of Roger Hager, North Muskegon, Mich.
Other survivors include a stepson, Michael T., husband of Cynthia Thornburg, Reading; and two stepdaughters, Karen L. (Thornburg), wife of John Laundra, Runnemede, N.J., and Kathleen G. (Thornburg), wife of Charles Kohler, Mohnton.
Also surviving are three brothers: Charles, Saginaw, Mich.; John David, Runnemede, N.J.; and Robert, in California; and two sisters, Kathleen Ristau, Saginaw, Mich., and Margaret Bicszka, North East, Belmont, Mich.
There also are 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Thomas was predeceased by a son, Anthony Laundra.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
