LOWER, CHRISTIAN, Tulpehocken. December 1, 1781 - October 4, 1786.
To wife Anna Elisabeth £40 over and above what is stipulated in our marriage contract. To eldest son Christian £10 and my plantation according to the lines shown at a Supreme Court at Reading November 1781. Mentions that a verdict was rendered against him at said court in favor of granddau. Elizabeth, dau. of son John deceased. Gives to said granddau. £5. If said verdict shall be set aside, Christian is to pay £2500 to the other children and granddau. to have her father's share.
Remainder to sons-in-law George HOLSTON married to dau. Elisabeth, Michael LEY married to dau. Magdalena, and Benjamin SPYKER married to dau. Catharina. Also to son-in-law SPYKER 1/6 share in tract of land in York County. To son Christian my slaves Jack, William and Peter.
Exrs: Son Christian and son-in-law Michael LEY.
Codicil December 28, 1784 refers to the suit at law having continued to be adverse to him and mentions his brother-in-law Wendel SEYBERT.
