Richard I. Anspach, 70, died of natural causes Sunday at 2:55 a.m. in his residence at 3569 Ridgeway St., Laureldale.
He was the husband of Pearl R. (Steffy) Anspach.
Born in Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late Robert and Annie (Klopp) Anspach.
He was employed by the former Reading Railroad, now Conrail, for 44 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of st. John's United Church of Christ, Sinking Spring.
Anspach coached the Sinking Spring Area Little League throughout the 1970s.
Other survivors include a son, Donald R., Newmanstown, Lebanon county; a daughter Joan A., wife of Paul Englebach, Lenhartsville; two brothers, John, Laureldale, and Robert, Myerstown, Lebanon county; and four sisters: Catherine, widow of Brooke Fidler, Wyomissing; Sarah, wife of Edward Messner, West Lawn; Margaret, wife of Earl Staruss, Sinking Spring; and Pearl, wife of George Marks, Sinking Spring.
There are also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, is in charge of arrangements.
