Charles Joseph Calamaro, 64, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on October 14, 2020.
Charles, known to his friends and family as Chuck, was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was there that he met his wife, Janet, and began his family. He spent the past 33 years enjoying the sunshine and waves of Florida, spending most of those years in Broward County before moving to Port St. Lucie.
Chuck was a devoted teacher and coach of youth sports for many years. He was loved by his students and the athletes he coached and enjoyed many years refereeing high school and college sports.
After his retirement, he spent his time enjoying the sound of the ocean waves and spending time with his family. He could usually be found sharing a great meal with the ones he loved, enjoying the ocean view from the side of a cruise ship, or playing outside with his grandkids.
Chuck and Janet were to celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary in November and enjoyed their time of raising two children, taking trips across the country with their family, and enjoying cruise vacations to new destinations.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Janet, his two sons, Joseph ?Chris? (Megan) and Michael (Betza), his parents Joseph and Mary, his sister Donna, his brother Joseph (Debbie), and his grandchildren Andrew, Luca and Anthony. He is also survived by many more relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm; with a celebration of life at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Yates Funeral Home 526 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
