Marian S. Potteiger, 91, of Mount Gretna, died on Thursday, September 06, 2012 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born on Saturday, January 29, 1921 to the late Harry Scherb and Elizabeth R. Scherb nee Thompson in Lebanon. She was a member of Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church. She worked at Hershey Foods. Marian was a sentimental woman who loved and lived for the Lord. She collected coins, vases, hats, dolls and jewelry. She also enjoyed writing, cooking, gardening and antiques.
Surviving are daughter Elizabeth May Spangler, Hummelstown; grandchildren Anthony Terrell, Tammy spouse of David Gruber, Middletown; great grandchildren Alyssa Spangler, Miranda E. Spangler; brothers Richard Kerkeslager, James spouse of Nancy Kerkeslager, Thomas spouse of Mildred Kerkeslager, Dennis spouse of Maxine Kerkeslager; sisters Isabel spouse of Charles Eber, Joan spouse of Neil Smith; son-in-laws Donald Fry, Anthony Spangler. She was preceded in death by husband Donald Potteiger; son Terry W. Drum; daughter Carol Fry; brother Jack Kerkeslager; sister May Beamesderfer.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ebenezer "Greenwood" Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service.
