Shirley M. Strausser, 80, of Reading, passed away Monday, August 3rd, in her residence.
Shirley was married to the late Warren T. Strausser, who passed away April 29, 1983. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Martin Scholl and Ethel (Bechtel) Scholl.
Shirley was the owner and operator of Nutsy's Bar in Ontelaunee Twp. for twenty years, retiring in 2000.
Shirley enjoyed taking photographs, going to the casino, traveling and the companionship at the Bnai Brith Apartments.
Shirley loved the time she spent with her family, especially all her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Martin Talarigo and wife, Frances M., of Fleetwood and Wilson Strausser and wife, Kelly, of Statesville, NC.
She is predeceased by a son, Anthony J. Talarigo, who passed away June 2, 2004.
There are five grandchildren: Keith A. and Stacey L. Talarigo, Davan Strausser, Joseph Talarigo and Michael R. Greth Jr. Also, three great-grandchildren: Ashlei P. Bellanca and Landyn C. and Jaxson C. Greth.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8th, at 10 a.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. Interment will be private.
