Allen Albert Keener 1933 ~ 2007 Allen Albert Keener passed away peacefully on January 25, 2007. He was born June 5, 1933 to Albert Jefferson Keener and Esther Laura Spengler in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1951. He married Dorothy Louise Crouch on December 20, 1953. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service in 1972. Allen insisted he was not a saint; to us he personifies how life should be lived, simply with much love and faith. He lived what he believed everyday. One of his greatest joys was teaching the gospel. He will be remembered for his love of music. He was a blessing in the lives of his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Dot, children Debbie Thiessen, Naomi (Ray) Cope, Rebecca (Richard) Evenson, Matthew Keener, daughter-in-law Brigid McGary, 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sisters Anna (Adam) Lando of Pennsylvania and Sara Jane (Richard) Abrahamson of Oklahoma, and brother David Keener of Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents and son Dennis Keener. Funeral services will he held Mon., January 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Parliament Park Ward, 1510 West Parliament Avenue (3925 South).
