Edna O. Aufferman, 91, formerly of Madison Street, Shillington, died Dec. 29, 2009, at 1:35 p.m. in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where she was a guest since Sept. 24, 2007.
She was the wife of the late Julius A. Aufferman Jr., who died Aug. 7, 2002.
Born in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late John Claude and Maria (Weiser) Bolich.
She was a member of St. Luke's EC Church, Shillington, and a 1936 graduate of Reading High School. She was a seamstress and loved gardening.
Surviving are three daughters: Carole A., wife of Bill Guttschall, Springfield, Delaware County, Marie E., wife of Dick Barnett, Shillington, and Katie F., wife of Rich Davis, Sinking Spring; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Rene E. Fink, who died Aug. 29, 1974.
Funeral services will be held in St. Luke's EC Church, 315 W. Broad St., Shillington, PA 19607 on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Barry Zimmerman, her pastor, will officiate. Interment in Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Ringgold. Viewing will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
