Frederick W. Wolf, Sr., 93, of Wernersville, formerly of Bernville, passed away on March 26, 2023. Born on October 21, 1929 in Upper Tulpehocken Township, he was a son to the late Christian and Anna E. (Buchmann) Wolf. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Feick) Wolf with whom he shared 69 years of marriage at the time of her passing. Fred was a member of Friedens UCC Church in Shartlesville for many years. Fred was a proud United States Air Force member, serving in Japan and Korea. After he returned home from the Air Force, he worked in the construction industry where he worked his way up to be the Past President of the J. Robert Bazley Construction Company. Later, he was employed by Blaschak Coal Company for 20 years as General Manager. He worked as a Professional Engineer for a lifetime. He was a member of the PA Department of Environmental Protection Mining Advisory Board. Fred also served as the past President of the American Society of Highway Engineers in Allentown and was a chairman of the Schuylkill County Blue Ribbon Coal Committee. Fred was a member of the Vaux Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons. Fred is survived by his brothers, William J. Wolf, husband of Monika M. (Mueller), Richard C. Wolf, and sister-in-law, Janel Wolf. Also surviving are five nephews and three nieces and extended family. The family would like to thank Patricia Keister for her friendship, companionship, and love during his stay at Phoebe. In addition to his wife and parents, Fred was predeceased by one son, Frederick W. Wolf, Jr., and brothers, Herman Wolf, Karl R. Wolf, Alfred J. Wolf, and Curtis G. Wolf. A viewing will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, from 5:00 pm" 7:00 pm. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10:00 am" 11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am at the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N.Main Street, Bernville, PA. Burial will take place in Friedens Church Cemetery, Shartlesville.
