Mahlon A. Kerschner, 90, of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, in ManorCare, Laureldale.
He was the husband of Vera M. (Hein) Kerschner. In June, they were married for sixty years. Born in Maidencreek, he was the son of the late Irvin and Della (Sterner) Kerschner.
Mahlon was a truck driver for Mason-Dixon Lines, retiring in 1991.
Mahlon was inducted in the RSCA Historical Hall of Fame on August 7, 2013.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is one son, Scott A. Kerschner, wife of Patricia (Moyer) Kerschner, Bernville; two granddaughters, Chastitee A. (Kerschner) Long, and Melanie B. Kerschner; and four great-grandchildren: Haden, Connor, Charlie and Emily.
Mahlon is also survived by one brother, Paul Kerschner, and four sisters: Fern M. (Kerschner), wife of Raymond Stricker; Verna A. (Kerschner), wife of Earl Moser; Ruth M. (Kerschner), wife of Sterling Schappell; and Dorothy (Kerschner), wife of Paul Heckman.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Curtis J. Kerschner, Clarence Kerschner and Harvey Kerschner; and one sister, Edna S. (Kerschner) Hoffert.
It was Mahlon's request that a service not be held.
