n failing health for the past nine months, Eva Mae Hoppes, wife of Howard Hoppes, died at 5 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, High St., Topton. Mrs. Hoppes, who was 34 years of age, was a member of the Lutheran wing of the New Jerusalem Union church. Besides her husband, there survive her parents, John and Clara, nee Rader, Guinther; two daughters, Mary and Fern, and one son, William, all at home. Also six sisters: Mrs. Harvey Behm, Bowers; Mrs. Herbert Hertzog, Lyons; Mrs. Harold Adams, Mertztown R.D.; Lottie and Lea, both of Mertztown R.D.; Mrs. Ernest Reinhardt, Fleetwood R.D. Six brothers: Lester, Dryville; Howard, Mertztown R.D.; Paul, near Topton; Claytus, Bowers; Robert and Wayne, Mertztown R.D., and one step-brother, Clarence of Topton. Services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m., DST, from the Schofer funeral home, 107 Main St., Topton, with further services in St. Peter's Reformed church, Topton. The Revs. William F. Bond and Franklin Slifer will officiate and burial will be made in Union cemetery, Topton.
