Harold H. Kline, 92, formerly of Fredericksville and Blandon, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017, in Kutztown Manor, Inc., where he was a resident for almost two years.
He was the loving husband of Betty M. (Greiss) Kline, whom he married on November 30, 1946. Born in Fredericksville, District Township, Harold was a son of the late Alvin Y. and Mamie M. (Miller) Kline.
He was a member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis.
Harold was a United States Army veteran, who honorably and faithfully served his country in World War II, with the Battery A, 67th Armored Field Artillery Battalion and the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division. He earned five battle stars for Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He also earned a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and World War II victory medal.
Mr. Kline was a life-long farmer, working on the Kline family farm, that was owned by his family from 1893 until 2006.
He was a member of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton, Pa., and several softball leagues in the area.
In addition to his wife of 70 years, Betty, Harold is survived by his two sons, Wayne H., husband of Mary Ann (Wink) Kline, Hamburg, and Barry L. Kline, companion of Linda Adams, Mertztown; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers and six sisters.
Graveside services and interment with military honors will be private in Huff's Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis.
