As Result of Accident While at Work
Tetanus, the result of an accident which occured while at work, caused the death of Charles C. Angstadt, of St. Lawrence, in St. Joseph's Hospital, this city, early this morning. Mr. Angstadt, whose age was 53 years, 6 months and 25 days, was reported as having his fingers caught in a carving machine at the A. J. Brumbach Woolen Mills, Easterly, where he was employed. The accident occured three weeks ago, when deceased was admitted to the local hospital. He was the father of 11 surviving children.
Mr. Angstadt was well known in St. Lawrence, where he had resided for some years. He was a member of the Reformed congregation at Frieden's Church and was affiliated with Manatawny Castle, K.G.E., and Camp 180, P.O.S. of A. Surviving are his widow, Lillie Angstadt, and these children: Ralph, Frederick, Mary, wife of John C. Rhoads, all at home; Claude, Pikeville; John, Ella, wife of Ralph Moyer; Laura, wife of Charles Seidel, all of Reading; Emma, wife of Harry Eisenhart, Boyertown; Charles, Limekiln; Annie, wife of John Angstadt, St. Lawrence, and Pearl, wife of John Mull, Reifton. A number of grandchildren and a brother, Abraham, of Spinnersville, Bucks county, also remain.
