I. Arthur Crouse, 91, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Schoeneck, PA, went to meet his Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Rupp) Crouse, who passed away September 15, 1989.
Born in Mount Etna, Berks County, Arthur was a son of the late Iram and Mary Ann (Schlosser) Crouse, and was a member of the East Fairview Church of the Brethren.
Arthur worked as a long-distance truck driver for Bekins Van Lines, Co. for 19 years, and, most recently was employed at the Manheim Auto Auction in driver operations.
An avid ice hockey fan, Arthur followed the Hershey Bears and Philadelphia Flyers, and also enjoyed spending time at the deer camp.
He is survived by one son, Roy L. Miller of Ft. Collins, CO; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Galen Crouse, husband of Carolyn, of Ephrata, and Alton Crouse, husband of Lil, of Silver Springs, FL; one sister, Ethel, wife of the late Walter Horst of Ephrata; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, Arthur was preceded in death by two brothers, Webster and Mervin Crouse.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24 at Gravenor's with the Rev. Jimm Roland officiating. Place of interment will be Steinmetz Cemetery, Schoeneck.
