Clarence Richard Day, 95, of Rutherford, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
He was born on June 2, 1912 in Williamstown, PA, to the late James Arthur and Alice E. (Strauss) Day.
He was retired from the former Farmers Bank & Trust of Hummelstown, and was the former co-owner of the Dubl-D Inn of Rutherford.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Rutherford. Clarence enjoyed traveling, taking pictures and desserts.
He was the widower of Ruth Romaine Day and Anna Smith-Day.
Surviving are his daughter, Deborah McClurg and her husband, Michael of Harrisburg; a stepdaughter, Anna Marie Mader and her husband, Stiles of Shermans Dale; a brother, Marlin H. Day of Dillsburg; grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Michele McClurg, Pam and Bud Ottey; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Alex, Ryan and Sami. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell B. Day.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 23, 2008 in the Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Susquehanna Township, with Rev. Dr. Gordon R. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Shoop's Cemetery, Lower Paxton Township. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m., on Friday in the funeral home.
