He was born in Lobachsville, Pike Township Berks County and was the son of Jacob and Susanna Reppert nee Focht. He was a private in Company H of the 167th Pennsylvania. He died in a field hospital in Suffolk VA from Typhoid fever. His widow married his brother Martin after his death. His burial is unknown at this point in time.
