I Peter Reber of Strausstown in the county of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being in good health of body and sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my will and testament, in manner following. That is to say, I order that all my just debts be in the first place fully paid and satisfied, and after payment thereof I give and bequeath to Catherine my wife for her to own and live from as long as she lives all that certain house and lot lying on the corner of Main Street and the road leading to the mountains, adjoining the lot and land of Isaac Lengle and Jonathan Sausser in the village of Strausstown, Berks county and state of Penna all that certain tract of land (timber) about four acres adjoining the lands of John Reber, Michael Klahr and Michael Hiester in the township of Upper Tulpehocken in the county and state aforesaid, all my bonds and notes and all my furniture and chattles whatever are in my possessions. After her (Catherine my wife) death and all just debts paid the residue shall be equally divided between our two daughters Elizabeth and Salisa (Elizabeth the wife of Michael Moyer, Salisa the wife of Adam Spengler).
In witness whereof, I Peter Reber the testator have to this my will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this first day of August AD one thousand eight hundred and eighty three.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Peter Reber as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names by his request as witnesses thereto , in the presence of said testator and of each other.

The decedent died, testate and unmarried, on the 8 day of April, 1903, leaving to survive him the following issue, viz:
1. Elisaabeth Moyer, a daughter and
2. The children of Salisa Spengler, a daughter, who predeceased the decendent, viz: Peter Spengler, William Spengler, Catharine Schoener, Diana Freeman, Alva Reber, Debora Brumbach, George Spengler, Mary Wolf, Lillie Wingert, Calvin Spengler and Mabel Spengler, a minor, who has Peter Spengler for her guardian.
