Services for Earl S. Birkenbine, 74, of Strausstown, will be held Monday at 1:30. The Rev. Charles J. DeBoeser Jr., will officiate in the Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg. Burail will be made in the Strausstown Cemetery.
Mr. Birkenbine died Friday at 5 a.m. in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been a patient since Sunday.
Born in Warwick Twonship, Lancaster County,. A son of Frank M. and Susan (Showers) Birkenbine, he was a retired farmer.
E was a member of the Zion (Blue Mountain) United Church of Christ, Strausstown, and the Strausstown Fire Co..
Surviving are his widow, Ada A. (Rutter) Birkenbine; two sons: Gilbert R. and Carl F., both of Strausstown; and five grandchildren/
A sister, Mrs. Naomi Saring, Lincoln, and a half brother, George Birkenbine, Bradenton, Fla.
