Betty J. Lesher, 82, formerly of Lenhartsville, died March 11, 2011, at 9:37 a.m. in her son's residence in Hamburg.
She was the widow of Roy W. Lesher, who died in 1991.
Born in Tilden Township, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Helen M. (Budden) Balthaser.
She was a member of Friedens Church, Lenhartsville, and also a member of the Shartlesville Fire Com-pany. Mrs. Lesher was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Hamburg Fire Company.
She was employed as a sleeve setter for Windsor Knitting Mill for 35 years
until she retired in 1993.
Surviving are a son, Gene A. Lesher, Hamburg,; three sisters: Virginia K. (Baltha-ser) Shollenberger, Windsor Township; Faye (Balthaser) Bowers, Hamburg; and Darlene Balthaser, Moselem Springs; and two grand-children.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 S. Fourth St., Hamburg, Rev. Dennis Cooper, officiating. Relatives and friends will be received 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Friedens Cemtery, Lenhartsville.
