Obituary from the Montgomery Ledger, Pottstown 4/26/1887;
Mrs. Esther K BUSH, wife of Mr. Christian BUSH, of East Pikeland, Chester county, died early Saturday morning, age 49 years. As she was about sitting down for tea, Friday evening a blood vessel at the base of the brain ruptured, and she immediately became unconscious. Although the best medical skill was at once summoned, she remained in a comotose condition until death intervened. She leaves four chldren - Elmer BUSH of Kimberton; Ralph, Luther, and Mary BUSH of Pikeland township. Deceased was the daughter of the late Elias and Mary MOORE(MOHR), an old Berks county family, who lived near Birdsboro, and she was a sister to Mrs. Thomas FRANCIS and Mrs. Charlotte K. SAVAGE, of Pottstown; Mrs. James LACEY, of Lawrence, Kansas; Mrs. EMES of Iowa; D. K. MOORE of Birdsboro; and the late Levi MOORE of Reading. She was a lady held in high esteem by the community in which she resided, and by a large number of friends and acquaintances elsewhere. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., burial at Pikeland Cemetery.
