Carol A. Dechert, 68, of Lebanon passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was the wife of Edwin E. Dechert. She was born in Reading, PA on September 24, 1946, daughter of the late Paul and Anna Kramer Degler.
Carol was a member of New Beginnings Church, Myerstown where she took part in the Sign Language Ministry and was a Deaconess.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott Dechert and wife, Kendra, Lebanon; daughter, Lisa, wife of Robert Putt, Lebanon; grandchildren: Rachael Dechert, Brayden Putt and Kalli Putt all of Lebanon; sister, Shirley, wife of Marvin Speicher, Robesonia; brother, Mervin Degler and wife, Blubella, Sinking Springs.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Arlene Ulrich and her brothers: Donald, Kenneth and Stanley Degler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the New Beginnings Church, 430 E. Lincoln Ave., Myerstown with Rev. Keith Shearer and Rev. Dan Jackson officiating. A viewing will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
