Calvin P.C. Zellers, 88, of Bethel Twp. passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, of natural causes at Manor Care in Lebanon.
He was the husband of Gladys E. (Delahoy) Zellers.
Born in Myerstown on June 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Calvin C. and Mabel E. (Napp) Zellers.
He was a 1942 graduate of Bethel High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient.
Calvin was a self-employed roofer and tinsmith since 1946, and a school bus driver for Tulpehocken Schools for 30 years.
He was a member of Salem Reformed Church, Bethel, the Rehrersburg V.F.W., the Bethel American Legion, and the Bethel and Mt. Aetna Fire Companies. He also enjoyed hunting and played baseball in Bethel for over 20 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Donald Zellers, Topeka, KS, Gary Zellers, Bernville and Kevin Zellers, Bernville; a stepson, Craig Mattocks, Newmanstown; a sister, Miriam Bausman, York; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by a stepdaughter, Noelle Stoker; a brother, Clifford Zellers; and three sisters: Naomi Boehmer, Betty O'Connell and Beatrice Behney.
Services will be held Thursday, April 19, at 10 a.m. in Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg. Interment at Salem Reformed Cemetery, Bethel.
