Stella (Caplinger) Bashore Visit Guest Book
Stella M. Bashore, 84, formerly of Bethel, died Jan. 19, 2011, of natural causes at Stone Ridge Poplar Run in Myerstown.
Her husband, Ammon Z. Bashore, died May 24, 2007.
Born in Meckville, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Martha (Sutherly) Caplinger.
She attended Bethel High School.
She was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren.
Stella worked many years at the Midway Diner and was also the book keeper for the family plumbing business.
She is survived by four sons: Gilbert L. Bashore and Chieko, Bethel; Dale A. Bashore and Debra, Hershey; Raymond L. Bashore and Betsy Bowman, Bethel; and Michael A. Bashore and Judy, Myerstown; a brother, Gerald Caplinger, Florida; three sisters: Faye Caplinger, Philadelphia; Lulubelle Ziegler, Philadelphia; and June Richter, Colorado; five grandchildren, one stepgrandson and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Bertha and Evelyn.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, P.O. Box 437, Bethel, PA 19507. Friends are invited to call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Little Swatara Church Cemetery.
Hill Funeral Home, Rehr- ersburg, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Swatara Church of the Bretheren at the above address.
