Clarence C. Bashore, 79, of Bordner Road, Tulpehocken Township, died Dec. 2 at 7:20 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient three days. He was the husband of Edna (Wagner) Bashore. Born in Tulpehocken Township, he was a son of the late Ralph and Lizzie (Bross) Bashore. Bashore was a self-employed farmer and was last employed as a carpenter by Lee Bashore Building, Richland, Lebanon County, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Myerstown. Bashore was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is also survived by a son, Clayton, Big Coppit, Fla.; and two daughters, Marion (Bashore) Haas, Bernville, and Ann S. (Bashore) Clark, Richland.
Other survivors include a sister, Mildred (Bashore) Snavely, Palmyra, Lebanon County; and three brothers: Kenneth, San Antonio; Lee, Richland; and Glenn, Lemmon, S.D.
There are also 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Brethren Church. Burial will be in Frystown Cemetery, Bethel Township. The Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is in charge of arrangements.
