Martha M. (Kershner) Kelly, 87, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday in The Reading Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Berne, Tilden Township, on April 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Katie (Kauffman) Kershner.
Martha was a graduate of Hamburg High School and the McCann School of Business. Over the years, she was employed at Burkey Knitting Mills and the Hamburg Center in the housekeeping department.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Kelly, to whom she was married for 52 years; a sister, Rachel Kline; and brothers, George and William Kershner.
Martha is survived by her children, Patricia A. Kelly, of FL; Kathleen M., wife of Donald Karpinecz, of Hamburg; Stephanie J., wife of Daniel Heffner, of Reading; Adrienne L. Kelly, companion of William Kochan, of Fleetwood; Jennifer B. Kelly, of Hamburg; sisters, Anna Foliogo, Esther Peters, Mary Ellen Fraunfelter, Elizabeth Larson, Janet Barcley; a brother, Clyde Kershner; and six grandchildren.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Zion's Cemetery, Windsor Castle.
