Arthur L. Huyett, 88, formerly of Shillington, died April 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where he had resided for two years.
He was the widower of Catherine V. (Kantner) Huyett, who died Nov. 14, 1992.
Born in Mohnton, he was a son of the late Irwin B. and Katie M. (Marks) Huyett.
He worked as an assistant manager for Orr and Sembower on Morgantown Road, and then for Parmaster Pacific Products Inc., Middletown, before retiring in 1985. Following retirement, he worked part time as a courier for Spotts, Stevens and McCoy.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shillington.
Huyett served in the Army during World War II and was awarded a Silver Star and a Bronze Star.
He is survived by a son, Lee A. Huyett, Kenhorst; and two daughters, Kathy C. Houston, Reading; and Eileen M. Klopp, Lower Alsace Township.
Other survivors include two brothers, Elwood K. Huyett, Boothwyn; and Irwin B. Huyett, Mohnton; and a sister, Thelma, widow of George Snyder, Reading.
There also are two granddaughters, Trina S. and Jenna M. Klopp.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, with the Rev. Victor A. Kroninger officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. The family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
