Ray N. Hartman, 91, of Centre Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Joan R. (Bowers) Hartman, who died May 30, 1991.
Born in Mohnton, he was the son of the late Norman and Gurtie Hartman. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a time clerk for Textile Machine Works for thirty-five years. After his retirement, he drove bus for Vanity Fair. Ray liked to travel and was an active member of Shoemakersville Senior Citizens.
Ray is survived by a son, Keith A. Hartman and his wife, Elizabeth, Fleetwood; and two grandsons, Keith A. Hartman Jr., and Michael R. Hartman and his wife, Meredith. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hornberger; and his companion, Mildred I. (DeLong) Madeira.
Services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., 223 Peach St., Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery,
