Charles L. "Lindy" Baum, 75, of 96 Main Street, Stouchsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Fern M. Barnett Baum, to whom he was married for 57 years on Nov. 7.
Born March 13, 1927, in Myerstown, he was a son of the late William and Daisy Eisenhauer Baum. He worked for GTE, Myerstown, for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was one of the original founders of the Conrad Weiser Coin Club and enjoyed gardening. He served in the Air Force during World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Herbert, husband of Mary Baum of Robesonia, and Ronald, husband of Brenda Baum of Myerstown; a sister, Marguerit Koch of Palmyra; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Baum, and a sister, Mayanna Bickel.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Grose Funeral Home, 9 N. College St., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 1. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown.
