Jacobe, Arlington N., the son of Lewis F. and Katie Rebecca Jacobe, born April 2, 1919 in Osborne County, Kan., passed away May 24, 2007 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita at the age of 88 years. Arley "Jake" served his country proudly in WWII, Aug. 2, 1941 to Dec. 2, 1945 and the Korean War in Oct. 1948 to Aug. 1952. Arley and Sallie L. Helton were united in marriage Feb. 10, 1951. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie; father and other; brother, Albert Jacobe and niece, Gwen Ann Burmeister. Survivors are sister, Doris Burmeister and husband, Irwin; 3 nieces, Irva Kay Burmeister, Linda Reed, Therese Blue; sister-in-law, Edith Jacobe. Viewing 12 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Resthaven Mortuary; funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 3310 E. Pawnee. Reverend Richard Zabel officiating. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Love. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
