Alice W. Lutz, 100, formerly of 1419 Village Road, Strasburg, died October 2, 2006 at Brethren Village. She was born 9-5-1906 in North Wales, Pa. a daughter of John and Josepha (Happe) Whitaker. She was employed in banking; by the Commonwealth of PA; served in the Peace Corps in Malawi; by the U.S. Dept. of the Interior for 14 years in Saipan, Marianas Islands, retiring at age 76; also served as organist at various churches over the years. She is survived by a son, James D. Reyner, Jr. and wife, Emily, of Santa Clara, Calif.; a daughter, Judith R., wife of David G. Moyer, Jr., of Strasburg; grandchildren, Pamela R. Scott, Pittsburgh, Terry M. Young, Aberdeen, N.C., Lisa M. Heller, and Jane M. Geiger, both of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Julia and Madelaine Scott, Tyler and Helen Young, David Griffith, and Mercedes and Aidan Geiger. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Dickinson and Gertrude Fletcher; and a grandson, Geoffrey Reyner. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
