Thomas E. Emore, 76, Sinking Spring, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, in his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Hertzog) Emore, whom he married May 5, 1962. Born in West Reading on January 24, 1941 and raised in Leesport. A son of the late John W. and Elsie E. (Heister) Emore.
Tom retired from Wilson School District in 2002. He also worked more than 20 years at Hardesty & Quitner till they closed. He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by a daughter, Denise K., wife of Joseph Meck, Fleetwood; and son, Chris T. Emore, husband to Valerie, Sinking Spring; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Dale Yerger; and brother, Harold Emore, both of Fla.
Services are at the convenience of the family.
