Edith Irene Cooper, 85, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018, in Portland, Oregon. Born in Reading (11/22/1932), she was a daughter of the late Leon and Cora DeLong.
Edith was married to Eugene (Gene) Cooper for 39 years. Gene passed away in 4/1992. She graduated from Reading High School in 1950.
She is survived by her sister, Janice Langen, Muhlenberg Township, Pa.; her son, Darren Cooper, husband of Tenna; and daughter, Lisa Cooper, of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ryan and Travis Cooper.
She was employed by Carpenter Technology. She was also an medical assistant to Dr. Harold Trexler.
