Garl L. Gaiser, 79, Dies Thursday; Services Sunday
A former resident of Liberty Township, Garl L. Gaiser, 79, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday at Markle Health Care following an extended illness.
Born April 24, 1910 in Liberty Township, he was a son of William A. and Emma A. Crosby Gaiser. His first marriage Sept. 6, 1930 was to the former Agatha Marie Keller, who preceded him in death Oct. 6, 1946. A second marriage in 1947 was to the former Audrey Beerbower, who preceded him in death in 1987.
Mr. Gaiser, a retired farmer, was the former owner of Gaiser Electric Service and TV, and Gaiser's Antiques in Liberty Center. He had also formerly been employed at General Electric in Fort Wayne, Farnsworth and Fritz Electric and Eley TV in Bluffton, and Indiana Light and Power Co., Bluffton.
A lifelong resident of Wells County, he was a member of the United Methodist Church at Liberty Center.
Survivors include one son, William L. Gaiser of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by Rev. James Swan at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
The family has suggested memorials to the Liberty Center Lions Club.
