Notes: There is only one cemetery at Bowers, now known as the Bowers Union Cemetery, Inc. Years ago the cemetery was known as Chrtist (DeLong's) Cemetery when it was the cemetery for the Reformed Church. When the Reformed Church in Bowers & the Lutheran Church in Bowers formed a Union Church the cemetery became known as the Union Cemetery of Bowers. After the Union Church was destroyed by fire in 1900, the denominations each decided to built their own church. The Board of Directors of the cemetery consists of six members, three each appointed by each church. Lots are basically sold only to members of each church or relatives of those buried in the cemetery.
